Evaluation of sky protection directives of the Generalitat de Catalunya, OTPC-IAC de Canarias and Junta de Andalucía

In certain areas, there are requirements for outdoor luminaires, their emission, distribution, colorimetric characteristics, their installation and the characteristics of the project.

The critical parameters are related to the distribution of light and the limitation of radiation towards the upper hemisphere, as well as its spectral emission in different bands, the G spectral index or the correlated color temperature. 

  • Luminaire evaluation according to Official Journal of the Generalitat de Catalunya number 6944, decree 190/2015 (27.8.2015).
  • Compliance with OTPC-IAC requirements – Requirements established in the document: “Certification of lamps”. Review July 2017.
  •  Calculation and evaluation of the spectral index G.

Calculation of the expected performances (in terms of efficacy and luminous flux emitted, for different values of power consumption) based on the results of photometric testing of luminaires in different powering conditions.

It is usual for a luminaire to have several operating modes. In candelTEC we are able to advice about each particular case, the selection of the cases you should test to, reliably, obtain the behavior of the luminaire in a certain range of values of power consumption.
Calculation of PAR radiation and PAR molar flux of horticultural luminaires

The spectral emission that a horticultural luminaire must provide depends on the species of plants cultivated and the different stages in the development of the plant.

In addition to the measurement of the spectral distribution of the luminaire, some parameters can be calculated that will indicate the expected efficiency of the luminaire, knowing the spectral band or bands of interest. Thus, the PAR radiation and the PAR molar flux can be obtained.
